Only work with candidates that have at least 1 recent year in:
Their Profession (RN, LPN, OT, etc.)
Make sure they have been in their profession for at least one year. If they say they got their RN 3 months ago, but were an LPN for 25 years prior, we can't help them. They must have one year in their profession. Be picky and ask your candidates to have 2+ years! Go after the cream of the crop!
Their Setting (Hospital)
If your candidate has not worked in a hospital, we probably can't help them. Don't submit them to a job at a hospital, if they haven't worked in a hospital within the last year! If they have long term care or skilled nursing experience, then proceed, but only look at facilities in that setting! (Nursing home or rehab centers.) If you have a private duty nurse, we can't help them. They don't have the proper setting experience based on any of our open orders. We cannot help or place them.
Their Specialty (ICU, OR, Tele, Case Manager, etc.)
Candidates have to fit all 3 categories, as it relates to each job you are submitting them to, in order to be qualified.
Keep in mind, each facility or job may have additional requirements:
-5+ years teaching hospital experience
If your candidate does not meet the requirements, please find one that does and save yourself valuable time!
